Denon Dn X600 Serato Scratch Live
I only have two criticisms about the mixer, the up faders feel kinda light (very similar to the feel of DJM-400 up faders) in comparison to the heavy duty feeling cross fader. My other criticism is no inclusion of a cross fader reverse. As I cut regular its not that big of a deal, but it would still be nice to have.
Even with those two criticisms, I think I made the right decision about switching out my 56S for this, I actually prefer the eq curve of this mixer over the accelerated curve on the Ranes, but thats personally preference. The matrix input select is nice, especially when changing over DJs. We had two interfaces plugged in last Saturday and all we had to do with move the inputs from one box to another and click over to the right input on the matrix select, super easy! Also tried using the looper for a changeover as well and that went super smooth too!
This is my second Denon purchase, first being an HC1000 which has proven its durability over heavy gigging in the past few months. I def would recommend this mixer without a doubt!
ive cut and copied the instructions from the denon hc1000s manual to tell u how to get it back to channel 1..
Hope this helps cause i had the same problem..
MIDI CHANNELS
The DN-HC1000S has four MIDI channels. Channel 1 is the default and is reserved for when using the DN-HC1000S as a native controller, leaving channels 2-4 free to be assigned to other functions in Scratch Live. You can choose the channel by pressing Shift + Files to select channel 1, Shift + Browse for channel 2, Shift + History for channel 3 and Shift + Prepare for channel 4.
NOTE: When you unplug the DN-HC1000S it will remember the last MIDI channel used and will default to that when re-connected. When you connect the DN-HC1000S the Cue 1, 2, 3 or 4 buttons will flash to let you know which MIDI channel is currently being used.
NOTE: When assigning the rotary knobs on the DN-HC1000S to functions in Scratch Live make sure the MIDI data type is set to relative on/off [to do this click the desired MIDI control, turn the rotary knob then press the C key to select the MIDI data type]
